CULTURAL CONVERSATIONS

A Cultural Conversation was an enlightening exchange of thoughts, opinions, and ideas about race in a safe space. For 90 minutes, small groups of friends, families and strangers were able to participate in a dialogue facilitated by local experts.

On June 10, 2017, the Museum presented a free event celebrating the culturally enriched poetry, music and dance that can join us all together. Featuring nationally known poets and musicians and locally renowned dancers and performers, the day demonstrated how we are more alike than different and that artistic expression can build bridges among people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds.
